x 2 3/4"These Coupons are an excellent way to help establish a "community minded" perception of your performing arts center. They are also a wonderful way to increase ticket sales to the family audience demographic. They each come with a disclaimer that reads "Good for one free student admission when accompanied by paying adult. One student per adult. Coupon must be redeemed for ticket at the box office." They can however make for lines at the box office the day of the show. Ask Michael Guberman at Flagler Auditorium near Daytona beach. On the same weekend as the Daytona 500, 8 miles away from the auditorium he had only 260 tickets pre-sold, and was quite worried. About 700 people walked up to buy tickets that evening, many of them because of these coupons. They come in "slick" format 4 to a page, each with a different picture from the show! All you have to do is typeset your information, and xerox or print them, preferably onto brightly colored paper. If we are performing our 50-minute show for students to attend, the coupons result in a great audience for the two-hour evening performance. Students who see the 50-minute performance often bring their entire families back to see the evening show, and parents are happy to bring them because of the affordability.
