PERSONNEL

Producer supplies:
Stage Manager (for one night stands it is possible to travel with SM - fee additional)
Lightboard/Sound Operator
Followspot Operator Deckhand for onstage SFX and costume quick changes

SET

Producer supplies:
Endstage with proscenium (No "thrust" staging with audience at sides) Stairs from stage to audience on stage right and stage left
Min. 28' X 16'3' even surface. (Masonite, Marley floor or equivalent. No nails, no high or low spots)
Black Traveler with U.S. crossover
Solid black flat (Duveteen, wood, or canvas O.K.) 43"X84" hung center stage approx. 10' from lip of stage, attached to stage surface. (Must be free standing to permit quick-change exits and entrances around sides. No braces!
Wings S.L. and S.R., duveteen canvas (hard) or soft goods
Breakaway floor panel 12" X12" of scored Luauan. Breakaway stage trim and stage left stairrail.

LIGHTS

Standard for hall
Follow Spot

SOUND

Sound system with cassette and reel-to-reel decks, mixer
Skillsaw and hammer for onstage SFX, Mic as needed

Personnel

Producer supplies following:
Stage Manager
Lightboard/tape deck operator - twin reel to reel decks [possible to double up SM and Board operator
Deckhands for minimal scene changes [placing of cards on easel, chair and prop reset, traveler opening and closing
Dresser for costume changes (overdressing)
Followspot operator
There is an audience shill (a disgruntled patron who walks out - no Iines) wardrobe/dresser plays this role

Set

Producer supplies:
Endstage with proscenium. Min. 28' x 16' x 3'
Even surface, masonite, marley floor or equivalent
Black traveler US, set approx 12'-14' from lip of stage, opening to reveal red vaudeville drop
Black soft goods masking rear of red drop
Wings DS Can be duveteen/canvas flat or soft goods
Smoke machine under stage connected to holes in stage floor that performer stands on for 'smoking shoes' effect
Follow spot, or equivalent for house
Easel for 3 Vaudeville scene ID cards
For an extended run, show needs a portal proscenium as a visual framing device

Costumes

All costumes supplied by performer. Some pieces require dry cleaning for extended runs
"Bobby Clark" stick on glasses are made for each show out of adhesive black art material supplied by producer. Usually done by wardrobe/dresser

Props

Producer supplies:
Two lightweight bentwood cafe chairs, one of which can be sawed in half Skillsaw and hammer for OS sound FX
Easel for dreamcards
Black adjustable Manhasset music stand
All other props supplied by performer
Producer maintains props and costumes

Fees/Artistic personnel

Producer supplies any required lighting design, and design personnel
Recognition fee due to Stephen Le Grand for sound design (Contact Berkeley Repertory Theatre (510)204-8901)
For extended runs Director Anthony Taccone puts in show during tech week. He negotiates his own fees. Contact Berkeley Repertory Theatre at number above.
For one night stands it is possible to replace Taccone with a stage manager who puts in minimal show. SM fee additional.
